• Aruba has wonderful beaches, good conditions for windsurfers and sailors, consolidated conditions (including climate), good public safety, cleanliness. Apart from water sports, beaches and evening walks, there is not much to see on the island itself. Scuba diving is among the best in the world.
  • You can also go horse riding, jeep safaris, hiking, biking, rock climbing, kayaking, etc.
The island is small, only 32 km long and about 10 km wide.  The capital is Oranjestad.
Aruba is part of the Netherlands (with a lot of autonomy, so it's not a colony!), which guarantees order and development.
  • Out of the Caribbean hurricane zone, no severe tropical storms. The climate is dry and windy (trade winds). The wind blows almost constantly and the sun shines strongly (even through the clouds). Humidity is high. The weather is not very capricious. There is no real rainy season. The climate is ideal between December and March.
  • In addition to the million or so holidaymakers who come here by plane each year, around 700,000 people disembark from the ocean liners that dock here for a day trip.
  • Aruba has excellent public safety, one of the best in the Caribbean. Nothing to worry about.
  • There is a wide choice of restaurants on the island. A 3-course dinner for 2 people in a mid-range restaurant costs around 80 USD.
